Young people are the largest and fastest growing voting block in the United States. 4 million new voters graduate high school every year, and at least 87% are eligible to register or vote by that time. However, the youth have the lowest voter turnout in elections. The issues young people care about are front-and-center in elections, from education to the environment, making youth turnout and high school voter registration not only important, but crucial to ensuring youth interests are priortized.

A voter registration drive is any effort to get others to register to vote. There’s no one way to run a drive: you could go into every homeroom in your school, set up a table outside a local coffee shop, or text everyone you know the link to register.
